Create a New Container World Warehouse
-
Go to Inventory > Warehouse > + NEW WAREHOUSE
-
Name the Warehouse (we suggest something like "Container World Vancouver"
-
Add the Container World ID:
-
Vancouver is CLIV
-
Kelowna is CLK2
-
-
Ensure that Inventory Control is checked on (and is orange)
Update Warehouse Access & Products
Go to Inventory > Warehouse > (select warehouse) > Access and ensure the SKUs you want to distribute via Container World are enabled.
Create a Product Transfer to Set Your Starting Inventory
-
Reference your account with Container World, so you know how much of each product you have. In Ollie you will be creating a shadow warehouse to mirror the product you have available at Container World (note: the inventory in the Ollie Order "shadow" warehouse, will not be controlled by Container World, so any adjustments made to inventory on their end will need to be replicated in Ollie Order to keep the inventory levels matching).
-
Go to Inventory > Transfer
-
Create one transfer into your Container World Vancouver Warehouse and another into your Container World Kelowna Warehouse (if both are applicable), including all the product you have confirmed is available to order. Make sure to Ship & Receive the transfer and then you'll have your starting inventory levels.
FAQ
1. Can I allocate inventory between reps?
Yes! If you'd like to set allocations for different agents, you can make them each a unique Container World Warehouse and then divide the inventory out accordingly rather than have them all pull from one warehouse.
You would want the Warehouses to be inventory controlled and note whether they are connected to Richmond on Kelowna. Any warehouses you make for Richmond need to include the Container World id: CLIV and any warehouses you make for Kelowna need to include the Container World id: CLK2.
