Tank Adjustment is where gains and losses live. Enter what is actually in the vessel. The difference books as an explicit gain or loss. Money never moves with an adjustment — a loss concentrates cost on what remains; a gain is at no cost.

How to record
- Adjustment date.
- Gauge {vessel} — Volume, Weight, or Proof gallons / LAA, plus proof or ABV.
- Helper: "The book says … Enter what's actually there." Live delta shows the difference.
- Reason (required): Evaporation, Transfer loss, Measurement correction, Other. Placeholder: Why does the tank differ?
- Optional note. Record Adjustment.
On-screen TTB line copy may still say mapping is pending — the month can sit INCOMPLETE until that line is resolved. Do not net gains and losses before you enter them.

Pro Tip: A hydrometer that disagrees with a TIB receipt is not this form at receive time. Receive as documented, then adjust. A book proof that is simply wrong is this form — not Proof Adjustment (that only proofs down with water).
