Proof Adjustment proofs a lot down in place with water. Proof gallons (or LAA) hold; volume rises; cost stays. Proofing up is not a thing on this form — a book proof that reads wrong is a Tank Adjustment.
Spirit Lot → Proof Adjustment.
How to record
- Read the yellow banner: Proof this lot down.
- Adjustment date.
- New proof (or New ABV). Live preview shows new volume at the new proof. Trying to raise proof shows that water only lowers proof.
- Optional notes. Record Proof Adjustment.
Undo
"Delete this proof adjustment? The lot returns to its prior proof and volume with the reversal visible."
Pro Tip: Everyday cut-to-barrel proofing is this, not a batching run, unless you are changing spirit type or TTB column.
