Once your warehouses are created, you will need to load those warehouses up with your current available inventory (this is the inventory you have available to place orders against now).
Step 1: Click Inventory > Transfers > + New Transfer
Transfers are used to add inventory into Ollie Order or to move inventory between warehouses. For the purpose of getting started you will be adding inventory into Ollie with a transfer for each warehouse you have (if you have one warehouse, you will do one transfer but if you have four warehouses, you will do four transfers).
Step 2: Select “Production” as the origin and select the warehouse you want to add inventory into as the destination warehouse. Click Create Transfer.
Step 3: Adjust the date (note it will default to today’s date but can be back-dated or future dated if needed).
Step 4: Add a comment for future reference like “adding starting inventory”
Step 5: Scroll down to the Products section and click Add a product to this production transfer.
Step 6: Go through and add the total amount of each product you want to add into inventory in that warehouse and the click Add to Production Transfer
Step 7: Review the Quantity and if all looks correct, click Ship and then Receive. Ship depletes inventory from the origin warehouse, and receive adds that inventory to the destination warehouse.
Now, if you click Inventory > Inventory and select the warehouse along the top, you should see this inventory within the Available column. You will also see this inventory appear within the order screen so you know how much available inventory you have to place orders against.
Repeat this process for each warehouse you have.
