Dump empties selected barrels in full into a tank. There is no partial dump, dump %, or dump-volume-per-barrel field. Shells return as $0 used stock with the same permanent number so you can refill them.
Start: toolbar Barrel Dump, or Spirit Barrels → Dump / Dump Selected.
Pick barrels
Banner: Pick the barrels to dump. Filter, then Dump All {N} Matching or Dump Selected. Empty: "No filled barrels match — fill barrels before dumping."
Record the dump
- Review Barrels to dump (you can remove rows). If you remove all: "Every barrel was removed — nothing to dump."
- Destination — Storage or Processing; Destination vessel; optional new lot name. Empty tank, or blend into the same spirit type. A Processing dump needs an empty destination.
- Final tank gauge — Volume, Weight, or PG/LAA, plus final proof/ABV. You cannot recover more than book on this form (that is a tank adjustment after). Confirm if the gauge is a gain or a large loss.
- Returned shells — Return warehouse; Returns to stock as (used type; Add New Barrel Type).
- Record Barrel Dump.
Toast: "Barrel dump recorded — {n} barrel(s) into {lot}."
Refill
On Barrel Fill, used types with shells show Barrels to refill. Filter by barrel number. The number stays; expected aging duration is a fresh plan. Age in wood resumes on refill (see oak age).
Undo
⋮ Delete Barrel Dump restores spirits to the barrels and pulls used stock. Blocked if a shell was refilled — delete that fill first.
Pro Tip: Leftover in a tank is Tank Move or Fill → How much is left? Dump never leaves spirit in the barrel.
