This article explains how PaySmart transaction batching and funding are facilitated by our payment processor (Stax). It outlines the 8pm EST daily batch cutoff, how transactions are grouped for settlement and deposit, and what producers can expect with next-day ACH funding. The article also covers bank timing considerations, the ACH Company ID producers should share with their banks, and basic troubleshooting steps for locating deposits.

PaySmart Transaction Batching
Batching is the process in which the payment processor groups together the PaySmart invoice transactions ready for payout. The batch is what gets:
- Sent for settlement
- Used to calculate transaction fees
- Turned into the deposit the users will receive
PaySmart runs a 24-hour batch cycle that starts at 8pm EST. How this works:
- Transactions before 8 PM EST → go into today’s batch
- Transactions 8 PM EST or later → go into tomorrow’s batch
Weekend transactions still follow the same rules:
- They batch normally
- BUT funding usually happens on the next business day (usually Monday)
Transaction times are displayed in each user’s local time, but the cutoff is always 8pm EST. Example:
- Merchant is in CST
- Transaction happens at 7:05 PM CST
- That equals 8:05 PM EST
- So it goes into the next day’s batch, even though it looks like 7:05 PM locally.
ACH Funding Schedule
With PaySmart, users can expect next-day funding - typically executed the following morning after the batching is complete. Funds are sent with instructions to the related user’s bank to deposit the money. After that point:
- The bank controls when the funds appear in the account.
- Most banks make funds available the same day.
- Some banks may wait until end-of-day or slightly longer.
Merchant Funding Company ID
Some user’s banks may have blockers in place to keep unwanted debits or deposits from occurring on a producer’s account.
To ensure that funds can be sent to and from your account without any blocks, we recommend that all producers notify their banks they can expect to see deposits and debits from ACH Company ID: 2465382828.
Note: This is a universal deposit ID that funds to the merchant will originate from.
Troubleshooting
If you have questions about an expected deposit, PaySmart users can review their deposits, related payment information and reports in their PaySmart portal (pay.withpaysmart.com). If additional assistance is needed, users can reach out to support@ollieorder.com.
