Spirits Settings is your plant’s identity for TTB worksheets, plus federal excise rates, write-in lines, and (if barrels is on) location and numbering schemes. It is not the DSP directory of other plants.
Open: top-right avatar → Producer settings → tab Spirits. The tab only appears after distilling is enabled. You can also open it from the Spirits dashboard (Spirits Settings next to the page title).
On-screen order: DSP & Permit Details → Federal Excise Rates → TTB Form Write-in Lines → (if barrels is on) Barrel Locations, Barrel Numbering, Container Numbering.
DSP & Permit Details
These print in the header of every TTB report. Reports still generate while details are missing — with a warning. All fields are optional.

Click Save → toast DSP details updated.
Then Plant Registration & Permits: “Keep the current plant registration and permit documents where anyone can find them.” Save the details above first — until then: “Save the details above first, then attach documents here.” After save: Drop your files here or browse. Supports PDF, PNG, JPG, CSV files up to 25MB. Per file: download; delete confirms “Are you sure you want to delete this file?”
This is your plant’s permit header. Plants you receive from live under avatar → DSPs.
Federal Excise Rates
This block is on the Spirits tab. A full FET article ships in a later wave. For Wave 1: know the meter is here, and that packaging into a tax-determined warehouse is what makes tax due on a run.
Helper text on the page: excise is charged per proof gallon removed from bond. Rates are pre-filled with current law — leave them alone unless your distillery is on different figures. One rate applies per removal; a removal that crosses a threshold stays at the rate it started under. Thresholds and the meter reset every January 1.
YTD meter (gray box, year in the heading, e.g. “2026 removals”): Proof gallons removed; Current rate ($x.xx / PG plus reduced / standard / full); Remaining at this rate — or “No higher tier.” If an opening figure exists: “Includes {n} PG entered as already removed as of {date}.”
Already removed this year (owner/admin): if you started using Ollie partway through the year, enter the proof gallons already removed from bond this calendar year and the As of date. Transfers in bond do not count. Button: Save opening PG.
How often you file: Twice a month (the federal default); Quarterly — expecting to owe $50,000 or less this year; Annually — expecting to owe $1,000 or less this year. Save → Filing frequency updated.
Rate fields: Reduced rate ($ / PG), Reduced rate applies up to (PG), Standard rate ($ / PG), Standard rate applies up to (PG), Full rate ($ / PG). Current-law defaults: $2.70 / 100,000 PG; $13.34 / 22,230,000 PG; $13.50. Save rates opens a danger confirm. If overridden, Reset to current law is available. A red banner warns that changing rates changes what every future removal owes; already-determined removals keep the rate they were taxed at.
Leave rates on current law unless your DSP is truly on different figures.
TTB Form Write-in Lines
“Enter what you want to appear on each blank line of the filed forms. Leave a line empty if you don't use it.”
Three form blocks:
- Production — TTB F 5110.40
- Storage — TTB F 5110.11
- Processing — TTB F 5110.28
Each write-in is labeled Line {n}: plus a text box. Empty lines stay unused. There is no delete — clearing a box is the undo. Save → TTB write-in lines updated.
You declare these. Ollie does not invent line names.
Barrel Locations
Only if barrels is on. “Describe where a barrel sits — add ordered spots (e.g. Rickhouse, Floor, Position, Tier). Each spot is a dropdown with its own options, a number, or free text. Everything is optional; Barrel Fill uses these when you fill a barrel.”
Columns: Name, Type, Options (dropdown). Type: Dropdown, Number, Text. Buttons: Add Spot, Save → Barrel locations updated. A dropdown with no options fails: “must include at least one option.”
Barrel Numbering
Only if barrels is on. Prefix (optional) and Next number (min 1). Example: prefix SAB- starting at 1 mints SAB-1, then SAB-2. Numbers are permanent and never reused; changing these values affects only barrels filled from now on. Save → Barrel numbering updated.
Container Numbering
Only if barrels is on. Totes, buckets, and drums received on purchase orders become their own numbered vessels. Three rows — Totes, Buckets, Drums — each with Prefix (required; defaults Tote- / Bucket- / Drum-) and Next number. Save each kind separately. Same never-reuse rules as barrels.
