Two tagging jobs sit on materials, not on recipes: where a cook reports on Production Part VI, and whether a flavor or wine can take a §5010 credit when it leaves bond. There is no standalone §5010 screen.
Part VI (grain, fruit, cane, other)
On the material: heading TTB Production Report.
- Part VI status: Undecided — a cook consuming this makes the month incomplete; Fermentation aid — does not report; Reports to a Part VI line (pick below).
- Reports on Part VI as and Reported in (pounds or gallons).
Applied when a fermentation run consumes the material. Blends and still-run materials do not report here.
§5010 flavors
Miscellaneous → Spirits — §5010. Checkbox Eligible flavor (§5010) — TTB Nonbeverage Lab unfit; caps at 2.5% of finished PG; not wine. ABV % required. Attach §5010 documentation.
Wine
Materials / Raw Materials tab Wine (distilling on). Bonded wine lives in vessels (wine cellar), not on the grain shelf. §5041 still wine class is what makes still wine eligible for credit. Transfer to Processing is one-way (with Undo transfer on that cellar act).
Credits show on the excise return as Wine credit (§5010) / Flavor credit (§5010) when tagged alcohol is removed from bond on packaging.
Pro Tip: Tag flavors before the batching run that uses them. The 2.5% note on the recipe is a hint; the credit math is on the return, not a hard stop on Save.
