Everything after a receipt, a still run, or a batching run is a spirit lot: a named quantity of one spirit type in one vessel, with wine gallons, proof gallons, proof, and cost.

TTB accounts
Tabs across the top (plus All):
- Production — unfinished spirits from the still. You generally do not report how many proof gallons went into a barrel until the fill. Wave 1 GNS bottlers may rarely use this tab.
- Storage — bulk in bond that reports on the Storage report (5110.11). Typical landing place for received GNS you have not processed.
- Processing — bulk you are rectifying, mixing, or bottling. Reports on 5110.28. Batching output defaults here.
Search and the status filter work inside the selected tab. Status filter: All, Active, Depleted (not Disabled — lots are not a catalog you disable).
A lot does not change identity when you move the tank. Tank Move relocates it. Transfer TTB Account is the separate action that changes Storage → Processing (Processing → Storage is illegal and blocked).
Proof gallons
Proof gallons are how federal quantity is counted. Ollie rounds proof gallons and wine gallons half-up to two decimals on every transaction. Proof is one decimal. Packaging factors keep extra precision so case math ties out.
Gauges throughout Distilling take two of three (volume, proof/ABV, proof gallons / LAA) or a weight + proof path. The third figure is derived. Enter true proof at 60°F. There is no hydrometer-and-temperature correction in the product.
Your Spirits Units (avatar → Producer settings → Units) switch the labels between proof gallons / LAA, proof / ABV, gallons / liters, and pounds / kilos. The underlying quantity is the same.
Opening a lot
Click a lot name. The lot page shows the current vessel, gauge, cost, age (if any), and the activity that created or changed it. From here you can:
- Move
- Tank Adjustment (gain or loss — this is where losses live)
- Proof Adjustment (proof down in place)
- Transfer TTB Account
- Destroy
- Print TTB Tag
- Start a Packaging Run
- Fill Barrels
Wave 1 bottlers live on receive → batch → package. Move, adjust, and transfer are the corrections around that path. Destroy, tags, and barrels have their own articles in later waves.
Undo
Every operation ships with a delete. On the lot's activity list, a green X reverses the last eligible row. If something happened after it, the X is grey and the hover text names the blocker. Deletes write offsetting records — they do not erase history.
Pro Tip: Gains and losses are booked gross, on their own lines. Do not net them in your head before you enter a tank adjustment. TTB worksheets follow the same rule.
