DSPs are the distilled spirits plants you receive from (and, later, ship to in bond). This is not your own DSP — your plant identity lives in Producer settings → Spirits → DSP & Permit Details. The directory is who distilled it, so registry numbers land on TTB paperwork picked, not retyped.
Open: top-right avatar → DSPs. Page header: DSPs. Button: New.
Search: Search DSPs. Filter (default Active): All, Active, Disabled.
Columns: Name, Registry number, City, State, TIB approvals. TIB cell shows From: M/D/YYYY and/or To: M/D/YYYY, or —. Disabled rows are gray; info icon tooltip: “DSP is disabled.”
Empty state: “No DSPs found” plus a short explanation that these are the plants you receive from — who distilled it, not the vendor you bought it through.
How to add a DSP
- Click New. Drawer: Add DSP (or Edit DSP). Required field is marked.
- Registry number (required) — placeholder e.g. DSP-IN-15016. Stored uppercased, unique in the org.
- Name (required) — placeholder e.g. MGP Ingredients.
- Premises street, City, State, Zip (optional).
- Heading Transfer in bond approvals. Helper: “The TTB approval for moving spirits in bond with this plant — one each direction.”
- Receiving from — TIB serial
- Receiving from — approved
- Shipping to — TIB serial
- Shipping to — approved
- Click Save / Cancel. Toasts: DSP added / DSP updated.
- After save, Documents: “TIB approval letters and other paperwork for this plant — kept where anyone can find them.” Same upload/delete as Spirits Settings.
Dropdowns elsewhere show {Name} — {REGISTRY NUMBER}.
Using a DSP on receive
Left nav Purchase Orders → open a receivable PO that has bulk spirits or bonded wine → Receive order (also ⋮ Receive). Page: Receive in Bond — PO #{number}.
On the shipment block, Original DSP is required. Placeholder: Select a DSP. Helper: “Who distilled it — not the vendor you bought it from.” The picker includes Add New DSP (same drawer; a new DSP drops into the dropdown without wiping typed gauges).
Disable and delete

- Disable — confirm “Disable {name}” → “{name} disabled” (drops off the receive dropdown; lots keep the registry string). Enable — confirm “Enable {name}.”
- Delete — confirm “Deleting {name}.” Disabled with “DSP is recorded on spirit lots.” If forced: “This DSP is recorded on spirit lots and cannot be deleted — disable it instead.”
Pro Tip: Original DSP is the distiller of record. If a broker sold you the truck, the vendor on the PO is the broker and Original DSP is still the plant that distilled it.
